The Last Day
of Yilan STM Trip

Visit Envision Taipei Ministry

Today marks the conclusion of our short-term mission trip. We spent our final day in Taipei, where we visited the Envision Ministry and met with international worker Chris. Chris welcomed us warmly and provided a thorough overview of Envision Taipei’s operations and growth.

Envision is dedicated to equipping disciples and cultivating missionary leaders and co-workers through short-term mission opportunities and innovative ministry strategies. Each year, they host over 10 short-term mission teams. During our visit, we had the opportunity to meet a team from New York, consisting of members from Grace Chinese Alliance Church and other local congregations.

After more than 20 years of dedicated effort, Envision Taipei Ministry has established a strong foundation for the missionary work of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Taiwan through continuous creativity and innovation. Utilizing the Aroma Café ministry as a vital bridge to connect with the community, they have successfully built a stable and steadily growing church—the Taiwan Alliance Aroma Church. This church now has a stable and growing congregation of about 70 people. Chris and his team have a clear and strategic vision for expanding Envision’s ministry and strengthening the church. In their modest space of just over 1,000 square feet, they demonstrate remarkable creativity and stewardship, maximizing its use for God’s glory.

The visit deeply moved and inspired us. Despite the spiritual challenges in this land filled with idols, we sensed God’s powerful work here. Through the dedication of international workers, missionaries, and local churches, the gospel of Jesus Christ is spreading with selfless love and devotion.  During our morning devotional, Brother Vincent led us in reflecting on Christ’s sacrificial love. Jesus gave Himself for us and calls us to imitate Him—to love those we might find difficult to love, even to the point of personal sacrifice. As God’s children and disciples of Christ, we are called to embrace this mission, encouraging one another and serving together in His kingdom.

Yilan Short-Term Mission
Concludes

Today, the Yilan short-term mission has been successfully completed. Thanks to the Lord for His guidance and protection! Every step revealed His grace. May all the glory be to God.

Thank the Lord for calling us nine brothers and sisters to serve as team members for this short-term mission in Yilan. We are deeply grateful for this opportunity. In this short-term mission team, there were seasoned veterans with years of experience on spreading the gospel, as well as novice taking the first step into the mission field. The team members encouraged one another, worked in harmony, and eagerly sought every opportunity to share the gospel in this land.

During our time here, we were able to sow the seeds of the gospel to hundreds of people and led more than 40 people to pray to believe in the Lord. After each day's hard work, the team members still insist on completing the day's reflection and gratitude and share each other's experiences with brothers and sisters. This sharing not only strengthened us through mutual encouragement but also enabled our brothers and sisters to better intercede for us, allowing God's grace and power to be evident in our midst.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to every brother and sister who supported this mission through prayer, love, and generosity. Your partnership has been an essential part of this journey, allowing us to experience God’s grace and presence at every step.  Whether through financial contributions, kind words of encouragement, or silent prayers, your support has strengthened and sustained us. During our eight-day mission, we were scheduled to preach the gospel at Luodong and Toucheng night markets on two evenings. However, the weather forecast predicted rain for both nights. We committed this challenge to God in prayer, and He answered in a remarkable way.  On both nights, the weather improved significantly, especially on Friday night at the Toucheng Night Market. This market is made up of temporary booths, and rain would have discouraged many vendors and tourists from coming out. Yet, in this region known for its frequent rain, God gave us clear skies that evening.  What made this even more amazing was that just a short distance away in Yilan City, it was "windy and rainy as usual."

Thank you to the brothers and sisters for your united prayers, to Pastor Soo and Mrs. Hwang for their warm reception and thoughtful arrangements for all the short-term mission trips, and most importantly, to God for His faithfulness and abundant provision.

Although this short-term mission has ended, the work God has called us to continues. May we transform the insights and experiences we’ve gained into tangible action, praying faithfully for the mission field and responding to His call with our lives. We trust that God will use our service to advance His kingdom and glorify His name.

May God bless your faithfulness and deepen your life in Him. Let us continue to strive as His church to live for the Lord, share the gospel, and bear witness to Him—until every nation turns to God and Christ returns.

With gratitude and hope,

The Yilan Short-Term Mission Team

Glory to God, for He is worthy of all praise and adoration. "Praise Him for His mighty works" (Psalm 150:2b). When the Lord revealed His love for Yilan and the mission committee granted approval and support, we began our short-term mission plan for this region. Pastor Deng initiated the proposal, and the Lord led Sister Hannah Huang to provide valuable information regarding hotels and transportation. We found flight prices online, and a budget for the mission trip was prepared.

The approval of the elders further affirmed God’s will, and preparations for the short-term mission in Yilan officially began. Under Pastor Deng’s leadership, he trained the eight brothers and sisters participating in the mission, focusing on spiritual growth. At the same time, he encouraged the development of an intimate relationship with God through prayer and trained the team to effectively use gospel tools. We thank the Lord for blessing our efforts with these tools. The itinerary for our mission trip to Yilan, alongside Pastor Huang Shui and his wife, began to take shape.

During the mission, the Lord demonstrated His power, raising rivers in the desert! The Lord heard our prayers, brothers and sisters! Although the weather forecast predicted rain throughout the entire week in Yilan, miraculously, the two night markets where we planned to preach the gospel were unaffected. The rain only began when we were leaving the Luodong Night Market!

Though Yilan is a difficult field, under the Lord's guidance and the work of the Holy Spirit, the hard soil of people's hearts became fertile ground. We prayed for one another, worked in unity, tolerated each other, and cooperated to share the gospel. Whether in night markets, taxis, on the streets, or in supermarkets, we relied on the Lord to proclaim the good news. We were amazed to witness the Lord’s power. In Carrefour supermarket alone, God saved more than 30 people, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. God's love filled the land and touched many hearts! I am humbled and grateful to have had the privilege of working alongside the Lord and witnessing His mighty deeds. It is truly by His grace! I am reminded of the verse, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news" (Romans 10:15b).

I am especially thankful to God for providing two prayer companions who interceded on my behalf: 1. There must be an altar of prayer to exalt the Lord Jesus and His cross, to lead the Lord, defeat the evil spirits in the air, and reclaim the hearts of the people. 2. I experienced the ease of following the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

During this short-term mission in Yilan, I truly witnessed the Lord answering our prayers. I am filled with deep gratitude! May all glory and praise be given to our heavenly Father and glorious Savior, Christ Jesus! Amen!

The eight-day short-term mission was a powerful testimony to God’s glory. His faithfulness, love, grace, and mercy enabled our team to rely on His strength and boldly preach the gospel, planting seeds in hearts. I witnessed people, young and old, embracing faith upon hearing the good news. It brought to mind 1 Corinthians 2:9: "As it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

May the seeds of the gospel we sowed flourish and grow vigorously, that Christ may be magnified in their lives. May they become steadfast soldiers of Christ, sharing His gospel across Taiwan, bearing abundant fruit, and testifying to God’s grace at work within them.

Personally, I am deeply grateful to God for allowing me to experience His power and faithfulness while growing in my own faith. Despite our differences in personalities and opinions, God showed me the beauty of unity in the body of Christ—brothers and sisters loving, tolerating, supporting, serving, and walking alongside one another.

Glory be to the name of the Lord!

During this short-term mission trip to Yilan, I once again experienced the joy of working closely with God. When we first arrived in Yilan, heavy rains persisted, and some areas were even flooded. Two of our mission activities involved sharing the gospel at night markets, and I couldn’t help but wonder, “Lord, with such heavy rain, how can we proceed?” Yet, it is often in such moments of uncertainty that our faith grows as we rely on God and witness His power.

After praying, we saw how God miraculously led us, turning the impossible into the possible. During the times we were at the night markets sharing the gospel, the rain stopped completely. I still vividly remember the evening in Toucheng. As we finished our gospel booth and were walking to the train station, it began to drizzle. By the time we returned to the hotel, the rain had intensified, but my heart was overflowing with gratitude and joy. These moments reminded us of God’s constant presence and protection.

At our booth in Carrefour, God had also prepared the hearts of many people. Thanks to the teamwork and cooperation of everyone, the gospel-sharing activities went remarkably smoothly. During these ten days of mission work, we witnessed God’s incredible works, experienced the labor of sowing seeds, and rejoiced in the harvest. Whether sharing the gospel with people from different age groups and professions or during different moments—riding in taxis, walking, eating, waiting in line, or at night markets and shopping centers—my life was richly blessed. All of this is a testament to God’s abundant grace.

I am deeply grateful for the brothers and sisters who journeyed with me. Together, we studied God’s Word, prayed, ate, traveled, cared for local believers, shared the gospel, and served one another. Though each day was physically exhausting, our hearts were filled with joy because we shared the same faith and served the same Lord.

I thank God for using this mission trip to enrich my life and for allowing someone as unworthy as me to become a vessel for His gospel. Although I may not know how those who accepted Christ will grow in their faith, I trust that the God of grace will continue to lead them. May all glory and praise be to our loving Lord!

Thank God! Our eight-day short-term mission trip successfully concluded after dinner today. This journey has been a profound experience for me, as I witnessed the love, tolerance, and acceptance among team members. I saw how all things work together for good, as we coordinated, complemented, and supported one another in unity.

The Bible commands us to “Go and make disciples of all nations.” God empowered each of us with boldness and strength to share the gospel. Whether it was tourists in the park, shoppers in malls, night market vendors, taxi drivers, or street vendors, we seized every opportunity to preach the good news. Many of those who heard the full message of the gospel opened their hearts and decided to accept Jesus as their Savior. A particularly moving moment was at Carrefour Mall, where God’s rich provision exceeded all our expectations.

While God was at work, we also faced challenges. The devil tried to attack and discourage us. The weather was unstable—especially in Keelung and Taipei, where it rained continuously, temperatures dropped, and the team experienced physical fatigue from traveling. Yet, our spirits remained high. We read Scripture, meditated, prayed for one another, and stayed grounded in positive faith. By God’s grace, we resisted negative thoughts and left no room for the enemy. Even when we needed to rest, we quickly regained our strength, put on the full armor of Christ, and pressed on with renewed energy.

Thank the Lord for His faithfulness! Taiwan may seem like challenging soil for the gospel due to its many folk beliefs and spiritual strongholds, but we trust in God’s power to transform this land. We pray that He will continue to send mission teams from around the world to till the soil, plant seeds of the gospel, and establish gospel bases across Taiwan in the future.

May the Lord protect and bless this land and its people with His mercy and love.

To Him alone be all glory and praise! Amen!

Thank God for leading us to Yilan, Taiwan! During the just-over-a-week-long short-term mission, I deeply experienced the truth of the Scripture: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15)

First and foremost, I am grateful for the unity and dedication of the nine-member mission team. Together, we preached the gospel with one heart in the Lord. Though we faced challenges—such as the rainy weather that hindered outdoor evangelism or the need to share the gospel with unfamiliar individuals within a short timeframe—God provided. Through mutual prayer, teamwork, and care for one another, He miraculously allowed the seeds of the gospel to take root in soft hearts that He had already prepared, ready to sprout and bear fruit in His time.

This mission also profoundly transformed my perspective on evangelism. Although Yilan is spiritually challenging, filled with idol worship, I witnessed firsthand that “the gospel is the power of God.” When we put on the full armor of God, stand firm in His truth, and wield the sword of the Spirit, we can, as Paul wrote, “demolish strongholds, arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

This reminds us of our duty as God’s children: to go, preach, and carry the gospel to unreached places. By sowing seeds of faith and trusting God for the harvest, we fulfill His command to proclaim His truth to all nations and peoples, so they may turn from idols and believe in the one true God.

Finally, I thank God for His abundant blessings and strength throughout the mission. He graciously answered our prayers, and wherever we went, we witnessed His great grace and glory. Beyond all our expectations and desires, He added to the number of those saved each day. Hallelujah!

May all praise and glory be to our Most High God and glorious Savior! Amen!

Thanks to God’s guidance, this short-term mission trip to Yilan has been deeply meaningful to me. It was my first time personally participating in missions—praying, visiting, and sharing the gospel alongside the team. Through it all, I felt God’s presence and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in profound ways.

Over just a few days, we visited some families and connected with young people. What moved me most was witnessing, for the very first time in my life, someone accepting Christ and being saved through the gospel. In that moment, I was acutely aware of my own weaknesses, but it became even clearer to me: it is not about what I can do but about God Himself at work. I am merely a vessel in His hands.

This short-term mission opened my eyes to the spiritual hunger of many people in Taiwan and reminded me of the critical importance of prayer and teamwork. Each day in Yilan, I felt immersed in God’s love, gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to be on mission with Him.

Looking back on this experience, my heart is filled with gratitude. I have learned to lean more fully on God while also becoming more aware of my own areas for growth. I now understand that missions is not just about sharing the gospel—it’s also about encountering God’s presence and power in every step of the journey.

May all the glory and praise be to God!

Thank the Lord—being able to serve is truly a blessing. During this short-term mission in Yilan, God's presence was evident in every detail, both big and small. The team members cared for and supported one another as they walked this journey together. Over the course of these eight days, we engaged in a variety of ministries, including street evangelism, sharing the gospel at night markets and shopping mall stalls, hosting “The Lord’s Table”evangelistic meetings, visiting families, sharing the gospel during taxi rides, and even ministering to human traffickers.

Taiwan is a land filled with temples of various sizes, with its people worshiping many different idols. This was a powerful reminder of the countless lost souls who are in desperate need of the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus.

Through this mission, I also learned invaluable lessons about trust—trusting in God’s leading and provision—and about preaching the gospel both in season and out of season. May all glory and thanks be to Him!

To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.(1 Tim1:17)

Praise the Lord! During this short-term mission to Yilan, I repeatedly witnessed God’s amazing works. My job often requires frequent business trips, and when I am not traveling, I am busy leading my team in preparations for others’ trips. As a result, I haven’t taken a vacation in ten years. However, after signing up for this mission trip, God provided a kind-hearted individual who was willing to manage the company’s operations on my behalf during the two weeks I was away. Through this, I experienced firsthand that when we are willing to dedicate ourselves, God faithfully arranges everything for us.

A week before the mission, some team members, including our pastor and his wife, fell ill, and I also started coughing. Yet, the day before our flight, I experienced significant recovery. By the time I was on the plane, my cough had completely subsided. I am so grateful for God’s healing and protection. During the mission in Yilan and Taipei, God safeguarded my health and ensured peace in all our travels, enabling me to fully engage in the ministry.

In Yilan, a land where hearts are hardened and almost every household worships idols, I witnessed God’s abundant provision and power. He brought many people to our booths at Carrefour and the night market, where they patiently listened to the gospel. Amazingly, dozens of them prayed to accept Christ and left their contact information for follow-up by local churches. This was not because of our eloquence but entirely due to God’s grace and preparation, allowing us to share the joy of co-laboring with Him and to witness His great power.

Reflecting on my last mission trip, led by Pastor Ma to Bulgaria more than a decade ago, I see how God has again called me to pause amidst my busy work schedule and dedicate my rare vacation time to Him. I am filled with praise and joy as I marvel at His abundant provision and guidance. May all glory be to God!
