Sunday Service
at Yilan Alliance Church
On Sunday morning, we attended the worship service at the Taiwan Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Yilan. The congregation included Pastor Huang, his wife, and nine members of a short-term missionary team, along with eight local brothers and sisters and three children. Among the attendees were a couple we had met during an outreach event at Carrefour the previous evening. We had warmly invited them to join us for the service, and by God’s grace, they gladly accepted.

Before the worship service began, the short-term missionary team had the privilege of leading a child in prayer. By God’s grace, the child made the beautiful decision to place their faith in the Lord.

During the service, the missionary team led the congregation in worship and praise. Pastor Soo Hwang delivered a sermon titled "The Lord's Table." His unique approach to preaching centered on the story of Jesus breaking bread with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, opening their eyes to recognize Him. Pastor Soo emphasized that the “The Lord's Table."”—sharing a meal with others—is a powerful way to share the gospel, helping people open their spiritual eyes to know Jesus Christ as Savior.
After the service, the church hosted a warm and inviting lunch for everyone in attendance. This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, where the congregation shared heartfelt moments with the short-term missionary team, celebrating the Lord’s abundant grace together.

The Lord's Table
Outreach Event
On Sunday evening, the short-term missionary team joined Pastor Soo in hosting a "The Lord’s Table” outreach event at a hot pot restaurant near Yilan University. The event was attended by a dozen seekers, many of whom were friends Pastor Soo had built relationships with through years of sports ministry and community outreach. For most attendees, this was their first time hearing the gospel.

Understanding the importance of fostering long-term relationships, Pastor Soo kept the outreach concise, limiting it to 30 minutes. The program included life testimonies, hymn worship, and a brief gospel message. Sister Fanly shared a touching testimony of God’s work in her life, while Sister Felicia led the group in heartfelt worship with hymns like "There is a God" and "The Most Beautiful Blessing in This Life." Pastor Deng concluded the event with a succinct yet impactful 10-minute gospel message that clearly conveyed the core of the Christian faith. By God’s grace, two seekers responded by making the decision to follow Christ, guided by the missionary team members.

Visit to Qidu Alliance Church
in Keelung
On Monday, we traveled from Yilan to Qidu Church in Keelung, another C & MA Church established by Pastor Soo and his wife Hannah in 2005. With 19 years of history, the church is now led by Pastor You and his wife, serving a congregation of around 16 regular members.

The short-term missionary team visited Pastor You, his wife, and an elderly sister from the church. In the afternoon, the team participated in the church’s after-school program, sharing the gospel with the children. Thank God, nine children responded to the message, praying with the team and making the decision to believe in the Lord.

Through every service and meeting in Yilan and Keelung, we have witnessed God’s marvelous works and overflowing grace. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to see lives transformed and to share in His ministry. Praise God for His faithfulness!

God's grace has truly been abundantly poured out upon our short-term missions team! During “The Lord’s Table” on Sunday evening, two women working at 7-Eleven accepted salvation. Although the team had only about 20 minutes to share through hymns, testimonies, and Pastor Deng’s gospel message, the impact was profound. May the seeds of the gospel take root and grow in their hearts.
This afternoon, we visited Qidu Church in Keelung City. The testimony shared by Pastor You and his wife inspired us to persevere through challenges and to fix our eyes on the Lord, who is both the author and finisher of our faith.
At 4 p.m., during the children’s study class, we witnessed a touching display of God’s love for His little ones. Using five-color beads and caterpillar gospel tools, we shared the message of salvation. These innocent children wholeheartedly accepted the Lord's salvation, creating a beautiful and unforgettable moment. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

Today, the short-term mission team utilized the “Gospel Caterpillar” to share the gospel with many children at Qidu Church. Thanks to God's love, mercy, and care, all the children decided to accept Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. Witnessing the innocent and blessed hearts of these children deeply moved me. May all the glory be to God.

Today, I visited Sister Liu at Qidu Church. Although she lives alone, she maintains wonderful relationships with her neighbors and often serves them at the age of 87. Her joy and positive attitude towards life are truly inspiring and make her a role model for us. Back at Qidu Church, we had the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus with children using the “Five-Color Bead Caterpillars.” They were receptive and willing to accept the Lord. Thank the Lord for a day full of grace!

I am grateful to the short-term mission team for worshiping together at Pastor Soo’s church yesterday morning and for holding a outreach at a hot pot restaurant in the evening. Thank God that two sisters were willing to make the decision to believe in the Lord. May the Lord strengthen their hearts and grant Pastor Soo and his wife the wisdom to effectively follow up in the future.
Today, we took the train from Yilan to a small village in Keelung to visit the Qidu C&MA Church and joined the children's study class. Pastor Deng's simple sharing was enough to make the children happy and excited. The sisters on the short-term mission team personally shared the gospel story of the caterpillar with each child, ensuring they truly understood the message of salvation. Thank God that all the children were willing to accept Lord Jesus and prayed together for a decision! May the gracious God bless these children to grow in His love and become dedicated soldiers of Christ in the future!

During these two days of short-term missions, we thank God for bringing the people He has chosen to us. During the Sunday "The Lord's Table" outreach, although we did not know our targets in advance, Sister Eileen and I prayed for the Lord to work with us. Subsequently, we witnessed the Holy Spirit moving miraculously in the hearts of two friends who worked at 7-11. After using the "Five-Color Beads" to share the salvation, they immediately opened their hearts and expressed their willingness to believe in Jesus, following us to make a decision prayer! Therefore, we are greatly thankful to the Lord. Those who trust in the Lord will not be ashamed!

Today was another full day! We attended the children's class at Qidu Church and shared the gospel using the story of a caterpillar. This vivid and engaging method allowed the children to receive God's love effectively, and they willingly accepted Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. We also visited an 87-year-old grandmother and prayed for her. May God protect and bless her!

By God's grace, the short-term mission team was able to worship freely yesterday in Yilan, Taiwan, and serve Him through the gospel dinner ministry in the evening. During this time, we shared testimonies with a sister who had moved to Taiwan from Hong Kong. My wife, Fanly, and I were able to care for her, pray with her, and address her needs. It was a powerful reminder that the family of God can intercede for, remember, and support one another.
Today, I visited Qidu Missionary Church in Keelung, where I met an elderly sister. She shared her experiences of serving her neighbors through acts of love, which deeply moved me and reminded me that serving others is truly a grace. Later, during the church's after-school ministry, the sisters used five-color caterpillars to share the gospel with the children. It was a beautiful moment to witness all these innocent children decide to pray and embrace God’s love.
Thank the Lord for His abundant love and grace, reaching and transforming lives!

During our visit to the Qidu Gospel Center today, I had the privilege of visiting Sister Liu alongside Pastor You Zhengru. At 87 years old, Sister Liu remains optimistic, cheerful, and caring towards the nearby residents. Thank God for her enduring spirit. Additionally, I observed the Lord’s work in the nine children participating in the accompanying class, including Pastor You's son and daughter. Thank God for their participation in this gospel preaching activity!
