With the prayers and blessings from brothers and sisters, our short-term mission team arrived at Taipei Taoyuan Airport at 5:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday, November 12 (Monday 3:30 p.m. Chicago time). Hanah (Mrs. Hwang) warmly welcomed us at the airport and led us to a bus for our journey to Yilan. After a 3 to 4-hour drive (due to the rain and traffic jam, the speed is very slow), we safely arrived in Yilan by noon (10:00 p.m. Monday, Chicago time). Praise the Lord for His protection!

Despite the long journey, the team remained in high spirits. After taking a brief rest in the afternoon, we had the privilege of having dinner with eight students from Yilan University. These students are members of the university’s pickleball team, which is part of the community service ministry led by Pastor Soo in partnership with the university. During the meal, our team members sat with the students, sharing the gospel with them. Afterward, Pastor Deng also briefly shared the gospel.

We thank the Lord for His grace! Out of the eight students, apart from one who was already a Christian, three made the decision to accept Christ that very night through the guidance of our mission team.

One of the students was already a believer, and Felicia taught him how to use five-colored beads to share the gospel with his sister.

Praise the Lord! After five years of prayer by Pastor Soo and his wife, God opened the door for them to share the gospel at Yilan University. He even brought a professor from the university’s Department of Biology—a brother who loves the Lord deeply—into their path. This professor invited Pastor Huang to lead pickleball training as part of the university's community service program, which enabled him to reach these students for Christ.

We thank the Lord for preparing the hearts of the college students in Yilan. After we share the gospel with them over dinner, three of the eight students were willing to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. One of the young women even took the initiative to embrace this salvation on her own.

I am grateful that our short-term mission team had the opportunity to share the gospel with a group of college students on Tuesday night. They were all so open-hearted and delightful. Three of them made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. I am extremely thankful—Hallelujah! What a blessing it is to witness their conversion to the Lord!

“The gospel is the power of God to save everyone who believes…” Tonight, when our short-term missions team boldly preached the gospel to the students of Yilan University and witnessed the grace of Jesus Christ, we immediately experienced the Holy Spirit working with us and winning back people’s hearts to Jesus Christ.

By God's power and grace, despite the heavy rain in Yilan, the short-term mission team arrived safely and began sharing the gospel with the students of Yilan University that evening.

The first day of our short-term mission trip to Lanzhou filled my heart with gratitude. Today, we had the opportunity to share the gospel with eight students. What touched me most was the purity and sincerity of their hearts, as well as their deep desire to seek and understand the gospel. During our conversations, three of the students decided to accept Jesus as their Savior! They are eager for God’s grace to transform their lives.

Thank God for bringing three students from Yilan University to us on Tuesday night. Although they were unbelievers, they listened attentively to the gospel and the testimonies shared. We are grateful for this opportunity to plant seeds in their hearts. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will work in them, leading them to a deeper understanding of the Bible and guiding them to take the university course titled "The Bible and Life."
Prayers

Thank you once again, in the Lord, for the prayers and blessings you have for us. May the Lord continue to guide our ministry here. We ask for your continued prayers for the days ahead. It has been raining consistently in Yilan, which may affect our local outreach. Please join us in praying for good weather on Thursday and Friday nights, when we plan to visit different local night markets to share the gospel. We pray that the Lord will bring many souls to salvation during these opportunities.
