It was a sunny day in Yilan, and we give thanks to the Lord for hearing our prayers. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our brothers and sisters for their continued intercession. During the morning devotional, Sister Yiyin led us in studying Chapter 4 of 2 Corinthians. This chapter reminded us of Paul’s perseverance in his calling to spread the gospel despite countless challenges. He maintained clarity of mind, steadfastly relying on God’s power to share the good news. Paul’s example encourages us not to grow discouraged or disappointed in the face of rejection or disdain. Instead, we are to draw strength and courage from the Lord and press forward, boldly fighting for His kingdom.

We are also grateful for the Lord’s protection over the body, soul, and spirit of every team member. Sister Flora, who injured her ankle prior to arriving in Taiwan, has shown incredible determination, navigating the commuter platforms with perseverance. Within our team, we’ve witnessed mutual care, collaboration in evangelism, encouragement in sharing, and shared joy in our victories. These experiences have deepened our understanding of the challenges faced by international workers (IWs).
Unlike our STM team, which enjoys immediate fellowship and mutual support, IWs must strive to find their "foothold" in unfamiliar environments, often taking a long time to build relationships with people. In contrast, when our short-term mission team arrives at the field, we are already welcomed by "family" waiting to receive us. There is little hesitation when sharing the gospel; we simply follow the Lord's instructions and generously sow the seeds, without needing to worry about watering or nurturing them...

In the past two days, Pastor Soo has guided team members in “prayer walks,” giving us a glimpse of the persistence required to foster meaningful connections with local communities for the sake of the gospel. This has filled us with deep gratitude for the sacrifices and efforts of IWs. Through our time here, we’ve not only shared the gospel but also witnessed God’s work in and through the lives of these devoted laborers. It has been a humbling opportunity to experience their lives, better understand their needs, and commit to supporting them in prayer.

During our street evangelism, we frequently encountered individuals resistant to the gospel. Many identified as “takers of incense” or those with “household gods,” who have been blinded by the gods of this world. They often create their own “light,” believing they possess spiritual insight, or feel constrained by family traditions. Some fear becoming scapegoats if family misfortunes arise, believing that turning to Christ would disrupt harmony.
Today, we met a woman whose mother and uncle were already believers. She and her husband had shown interest in Christ, but her idol-worshiping mother-in-law opposed it, saying, “Everything is going well at home now, so don’t change anything.” Through over an hour of conversation, we sensed the fear in her heart. Ultimately, she expressed willingness to accompany her mother to church and learn more at her own pace.

In contrast, some individuals, while having a background in idol worship, viewed their idols as mere family traditions and were open to hearing the gospel. Several taxi drivers we met listened attentively and showed genuine interest in the message.

In the evening, we joined Pastor Soo and Hannah at Toucheng Night Market for more evangelism. They’ve faithfully ministered here every weekend, setting up a booth to show films like “The Life of Jesus” and build relationships with the locals. Our team supported their efforts by folding balloons, offering small gifts, singing gospel songs and sharing the gospel with passersby. Despite many rejections, the Lord graciously brought many individuals who were willing to listen to the gospel message. Among them, five people chose to follow along in prayer, repeating word by word with the team members, and made the decision to put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the afternoon, under the guidance of Hannah, we visited sister Yingzhi, a physically disabled but faithful and devoted believer. Her daughter, who works in Taipei, also returned to join us. During our conversation, Mrs. Deng gifted her a caterpillar-themed gospel tool. Everyone eagerly shared the gospel with her, gave their testimonies, and encouraged her to believe in the Lord. We pray that the Lord will open her heart, helping her realize that her smooth life is truly a gift of grace from God. May she confess her sins and repent soon, and lead her husband to turn to and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior!
In the evening, we went to Toucheng Night Market. Pastor Huang and some team members had already started balloon-making, showing The Jesus Film, and personal evangelism. We are grateful that the weather stayed clear without rain, and the night market was crowded with visitors. The balloon activity drew many families with children, creating great opportunities for personal evangelism. Some were very willing to accept salvation, while others verbally expressed interest but hesitated when it came time to say the prayer of commitment. We pray that the Lord will strengthen their faith and that the seeds of the gospel will take root, grow, and flourish in their hearts.

God’s deeds are truly wonderful! At the Toucheng night market, I saw an elderly man walking alone in the crowd and wondered if I should approach him. Almost instinctively, I found myself moving closer to him and offering a gospel candy package. And as we began talking, I asked if he had ever heard the name of Jesus. He shared that his daughter and son were both Christians and often encouraged him to believe in Jesus, but he admitted he didn’t truly know who Jesus was. This deeply reminded me of the importance of fully sharing the gospel with our own families.
After hearing the gospel message, this man joyfully accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior and prayed a prayer of decision. Hallelujah! " Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable." (Psalm 145:3)
Thank you, Lord, for Your mercy and love! May all glory be given to God!

We thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity to visit and care for a local elderly sister today, as well as the chance to share the gospel with her daughter. In the evening, we went to the Toucheng Night Market, where Pastor Soo had a booth. Through activities such as showing films about Jesus, singing hymns, making balloon animals, and sharing the Gospel with five-colored beads, we spread the message of God’s love to the people in the night market.
We shared the gospel with those passing by the booth, people sitting nearby enjoying their food, and even other vendors at the market.
Thank the Lord for His grace—Toucheng’s weather remained pleasant throughout the evening. It only started drizzling as we were leaving. We are grateful for God’s protection and for blessing us with such a fulfilling day. May the Lord strengthen those who are willing to believe in Him and nurture the seeds planted in the hearts of those who have not yet believed, so they may one day grow and flourish!

Thank You, Lord! Praise the Lord!
Today, we split into two small teams to serve. I joined Pastor Soo to visit a convenience store, the Toucheng Night Market where we had a booth in the evening, and a hotel coffee shop to pray for employees they have been following up with and for those planning to attend Sunday’s evangelistic meeting. In the evening, we returned to the night market to set up the booth.
The night market started at 6 PM, and many families of all sizes began entering the venue. The local people were simple and polite. We thank the Lord for keeping the weather clear—there was no rain, and we even enjoyed a light breeze. The entire team was filled with energy and enthusiasm to share the gospel.
My main task was creating various balloon designs to attract children as a point of contact. Meanwhile, Pastor Soo prepared to play gospel films. Throughout the evening, many people stayed to listen to the gospel, and several even made decisions for Christ on the spot! Hallelujah!

Tonight, we went to Toucheng Night Market, and we thank the Lord for answering our prayers, keeping the weather clear and rain-free, allowing us to smoothly share the gospel with those at the night market! Although the environment was noisy and the crowd moved quickly, we are grateful that the team worked together, seizing every opportunity to share the wondrous grace of Jesus Christ with those passing by the gospel booth. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, as five individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior!

The short-term mission at Toucheng Night Market deeply touched my heart, as I witnessed how God's love can be shared through simple actions. Children joyfully received balloons and small gifts, their innocent smiles lighting up their faces. This reminded me that even simple acts of giving can serve as a testimony of love. As I handed out gospel tracts and shared the good news, some people accepted them politely, while others hurried past. Yet, I firmly believe that every seed sown in the field will, in God's perfect timing, sprout and grow.

Thank you Lord, God leads us to work with Him every day. During our ministry at the night market, He graciously held back the rain—it only started pouring after we had returned to the hotel. This reminded us once again that God is the Lord who hears our prayers.
We also witnessed how God had already prepared hearts to receive the gospel. All we needed to do was go and share the complete message with them. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." (Romans 1:16)

In the ministry at Toucheng Night Market, I witnessed Pastor Soo and his wife Hannah faithfully serving with wisdom, courage, and dedication over the years, boldly sharing the gospel amidst the bustling crowds of the night market.
